It has been way too long since I have started a new project, I am really looking forward to get going on this one.
Beautiful reference photo courtesy of Michael Stack with Fishtales Outfitting.

I always like to start with the eye, it is amazing what you can see in the reflection.

It is early, but I really like how this one is coming along.

The colors and textures in the netting are really quite nice. I think the blues really compliment the reds in the gill plate, it is what really caugh my eye with this one.

I had a nice long day at the dek today. I love adding the big bold sections like the one on the gill plate, it really starts to pull it together.

It has been a little bit since I have sat at the drawing desk, beautiful fall weather has kept me outside. Working on the net reflections in the gloss is always one of my favorite parts in these pieces.

A perspective shot.

Wrapped it up this morning. Thanks again Michael Stack for the very nice reference photo, this was a fun project.
